Artist Bio

Sherelle Speed also known as The Art Doll, is an American surrealism painter from St. Louis, Mo. Her painting journey started in 2015 when she experienced a traumatic experience that forced her into creating an alternative reality through art. The Art Doll is a self taught artist, Learning skills and techniques from trial and error, she studies works of famous painters such as Basquiat and Picasso's surrealism pieces, inspired by their paint style strokes and color palette choices. Her signature style is easily recognizable because of her skeleton flower backgrounds and faceless paintings. Leaving the paintings Faceless allows her viewer’ sto easily see themselves in her artwork. It allows the personality of the artwork itself to not be distracted by a face. The Art Doll has been featured in over 100 showcasing’s, festivals and galleries. The Art Doll is a relentless visionary with dreams of some day having a collection in stores and is having her art featured in movies for the display art in staged homes.
